Raymond-Fitch House archive

Although Susannah Lambert nor any other members of the Lambert family ever lived in the Raymond-Fitch House, one room in the home is named the Susannah Lambert Room and contains many of Susannah’s personal belongings. This portrait of Susannah Lambert (1748-1829) was painted around 1815. The Lambert family may have been the first in Wilton, CT to obtain portraits of themselves, being the wealthiest family in town and able to afford such a luxury. We believe it is a great possibility we have documented Susannah’s voice on audio from within the Susannah Lambert Room (see EVP section)
